  5.                             INSTALLATION

  7. - Copy the files labeled "PATCH.RTP" and "PATCH.EXE" to your current
  8.   "HEROES" directory on your hard drive.
  9. - Double click on the PATCH.EXE file just copied to your drive.
  10.   This will automatically patch the HEROES.EXE file and the 
  11.   EDITOR.EXE files.  Your old games will still work, just play as 
  12.   usual.

  14.                            WHAT THIS FIXES
  15.  
  16. The following problems have been fixed with the current version of
  17. this patch:
  18.  
  19. In the Heroes game (HEROES.EXE):
  20.  - The cursor is updated after the computer players take their turn.
  21.  - The cursor now knows when it's over a castle.
  22.  - The first monster you control in combat won't do unpredictable
  23.    things.
  24.  - Your opponent, when using the Identify Hero spell, can no longer
  25.    view you as well during his turn. 
  26.  
  27. In the Map Editor (EDITOR.EXE):
  28.  - Occasionally certain mountains and forests that would cycle now
  29.    don't.
  30.  - Saving a map without viewing now only saves once.
  31.  
  32. If sound and video driver problems still occur after installing this
  33. patch, you should contact your sound or video card manufacturer for
  34. an update to their drivers.
  35.     
  36. If you have any problems with multiplayer support, most likely its 
  37. due to configuration and connecting procedures. If so, contact our 
  38. Technical Support at (818) 889-5650 from 9 AM to 12 Noon or from 
  39. 2 PM to 5PM Pacific Standard Time, Monday though Friday or email us
